Finishing Blows: The Shawn Porter Three

Shawn Porter (26-1-1, 16 KOs) is known more for his pressure than he is for his power, but don’t be fooled by the fact he only has three KOs in his last 10 fights. Porter is a devastating puncher who almost always outworks his opponents.

3. Raul Pinzon {KO Rd 1}

This KO dates back to 2010 when Porter was a prospect rising up the ranks. The round 1 stoppage proved Pinzon was easy work for Porter and the finishing blow ended the fight dramatically as Pinzon fell face first.

2. Erick Bone {KO Rd 5}

Originally Porter was scheduled to face Roberto Garcia. However, Garcia was replaced by Bone just days before the fight due to Garcia’s inability to make weight. In any case, Porter had his A-game and no matter who was standing across from him, he was going to win.                                                                                                                                                            PortervBone

1. Paulie Malignaggi {TKO Rd 4}

Malignaggi was steamrolled by Porter in this bout and had his IBF belt taken in the process. Porter’s aggressiveness paid off and enabled him to overwhelm with punches and pressure. This is easily the most impressive victory of Porter’s career and his most spectacular KO.
